Hand Made Ceramics from Devon

The Art of Ceramics - an Interpretation

“Inspiration derived from Nature”

Living on the Southern Edge of Dartmoor and 20 mins away from the Coast my inspiration comes from the Moor and the Sea.

My first foray into Pottery was as a teenager and then whilst studying at Art College in Ireland.  Having found space in my life to dip back into the Arts I enroled at The Potting Shed, Ashprington & before becoming a Member at Studio 45, Dartington Hall

I currently work from my Garden Studio in Devon.

Landscapes, the Sea, Natural Forms, Shapes and Contours fascinate and inspire me whilst walking around Devon and Cornwall in all weathers. I search for wild clays & minerals and find ways to experiment with them creating texture and structure. I enjoy using Clay Slips and Oxides to give colour and texture on thrown and hand built forms. My focus at present being on unique & individual Silver Birch Trees and Seascapes.
